Thank You for Making the April 25th Workshop a Success!!

Saskatchewan Reads

Hi Everyone,

It was great to connect with you this past Wednesday at the Saskatchewan Reads – Provincial ESSP Workshop
Great things are happening in Saskatchewan School Divisions and First Nation Education Authorities to continue and strengthen the Sask Reads momentum!

Thank you again for your commitment to your continued work and efforts to support the learning of the Pre-K to 12 students in the province. This was evident during the Café Style Sharing Session of Saskatchewan Reads Implementation in the morning and the sharing of the School Division/First Nation Authority Writing Plans in the afternoon. The buzz in the air was vibrant and infectious!!

The ppt from the workshop has been added to the Workshop Materials section of the website.

School Divisions and First Nation Education Authorities are invited to share resources they have created to support writing in the division.  These resources will be added to the Connect Sask Reads to Writing section of the Saskatchewan Reads for Administrators website. These resources may include but are not limited to lesson plans, assessment templates,  strategies, and video.

Please complete the Saskatchewan Reads or the Saskatchewan Reads for Administrators Online Resource Submission Form. If you are forwarding photos or video, permission forms must be completed and submitted.

The submissions can be forwarded to Kathy Robson or Hélène Préfontaine at

Wish you a great week,
Provincial Reading Team

My name is Tessa. I started my teaching career this year in Grade 1. I have a lot of questions about the English Language Arts program and especially about teaching reading. What is important to understand about reading? How do I teach reading? Where do I begin? What does it look like?

Follow Tessa as she discovers the answers to these questions and many more. Welcome to the online resource developed for elementary educators by the Provincial Reading Team. It includes instructional strategies, videos, sample lessons … and more.
